more about Corinne
She has a wide variety of experience, working with a full age range of clients – from infant to senior. Corinne has had the opportunity to work a large variety of clients, as well. From athletes, pregnant women, cancer survivors to some who just want a few moments of peace and quiet, massage therapy can be effective for any number of injuries and ailments.
At the Professional Institute of Massage Therapy, she studied different types of massage therapies with emphasis on Swedish techniques. Corinne has since continued her education by taking various courses and workshops.
Myofascial techniques release restrictions in the soft tissue surrounding the muscles. Myofascial work can be done with a lot of pressure (deep tissue techniques) or with very gentle techniques which allow the tissue to ‘unwind’. Corinne uses both techniques in her practice.
Craniosacral Therapy (not a massage) uses a gentle, hands-on method to evaluate and enhance the function of the craniosacral system (made up of the membranes and cerebralspinal fluid that surround the brain and spinal cord. Release of restrictions in the craniosacral system can improve the function of the central nervous system. This can be used to help a number of health issues, from emotional stress to headaches and body pain.
Recently, Corinne has also attended a Massage Therapy for People in Cancer Treatment seminar. Prior to this class, she was only able to work on clients who were in remission. Being able to work on clients undergoing treatment for cancer is very rewarding and helps to give her a better understanding of what the clients are going through. She plans to further this part of her education as more classes become available.
Corinne loves massage therapy and enjoys being able to help her clients.

more about Ginelle
For most of her treatments, Ginelle integrates Swedish and deep tissue techniques to produce a relaxing take on a deep tissue massage. She ensures to alleviate your problem areas by getting specific and focusing on trigger points or adhesions. Not only will she provide you with massage therapy, she will also discuss exercises and lifestyle recommendations to help you between appointments.
Ginelle also offers cupping massage in which she incorporates cups into your therapeutic massage. She uses plastic cups with a valve and a pump device to suction tissue up into the cup. Cupping produces a lift on tissue rather than a compression. This allows for separation of tissue and fascia to provide more mobility from restricted areas.
Ginelle can effectively work on neck, back, sciatic, and shoulder conditions since these are the most common conditions she has treated since becoming a massage therapist. She is extremely confident in reducing scoliotic curves with her experience in college working on a case study with scoliosis, pelvic rotations, and osteoporosis.
Ginelle is always learning new techniques by continuing her education and taking classes through the Massage Therapy Association of Manitoba. In the future Ginelle hopes to expand her modalities by learning cranio-sacral therapy, acupuncture, TMJ techniques and more rib specific treatments.
Ginelle thinks everyone can benefit from a regular massage! Even if you don’t have a “pain in your back”, massage therapy can help reduce stress, tension, blood pressure, headaches, swelling and can improve flexibility, tissue condition, and digestive conditions.
